Mental health is a level of psychological well-being or an absence of mental illness – the state of someone who is “functioning at a satisfactory level of emotional and behavioural adjustment”. From the perspectives of positive psychology or of holism, mental health may include an individual’s ability to enjoy life, and to create a balance between life activities and efforts to achieve psychological resilience.

But how do we reach resilience, if we never get taught how to live through these principles?

Jesse had a bit of a rough start in life. His youth was marked by mental health problems and a variety of social challenges. He didn’t let these hurdles keep him down however, instead he learned and grew because of them. And now he uses the resulting lessons and experiences to make a change for people facing similar problems on a local, national, and even European level. This has been of great value on his road to recovery and in finding meaning and perspective in his life. The masterclass will be about the value of negative experiences and the art of using them to make the world a little bit better.
